This is meiyo (or mei yo), the great Japanese Kanji symbol for “honor”.
It is my strength tattoo and represents my code of honor, which expands to the ideas of honesty, integrity, selflessness, compassion and being true to myself; traits that define ME and how I try to live my life.
While it may be important what others think of me, it is not as important as what I think of myself. There can be a price to pay for acting with integrity as others may question my motives and may not always understand my actions. This Kanji symbol of Honor is my reminder to keep striving for those high ideas fore-mentioned. It is also a reminder to me to always act with courage and fortitude; to hang in there when the going gets tough, as it does from time to time. Sometimes this is easier said than done, particularly when a situation drags on and there seems to be no end.
This is meiyo, my strength tattoo. I shall always wear it with pride.
